Under the auspices of Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, Dr. Gehan Abdelhady, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, received a delegation from the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences (GAAS), China, headed by Dr. Yi Group Deng, President of the Academy.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mahmoud El-Zaabalawy, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture; Dr. Mohamed Refaat, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research; Dr. Abdelfattah Selim, Director of the International Relations Office; Dr. Sayed Khater, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Dr. El-Sayed Ismail, Head of the Dairy Department; and Dr. Mohamed Khairy, Head of the Food Industries Department.

During the meeting, Dr. Gehan Abdelhady highlighted that the discussions focused on strengthening academic and research collaboration between Benha University and the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences. The two sides explored potential cooperation in joint research projects and the establishment of advanced research laboratories serving various agricultural sectors.

Both parties also discussed the preparation of a joint proposal for submission under the BRICS program, aiming to enhance international scientific collaboration and reinforce Benha University’s position on the global research and innovation map.
